Approached by Catalyst, I was asked to create a sub-brand for oneĀ of their Warner Licenses. I decided on creating an alcoholic vodka brand based on the Joker. This live brief challenged me to push my ideas and think outside the box on how I could represent the character of the Joker as well as making it appealing to an audience. I focused on the idea of the Joker's laughter and wacky personality to base my brand around. I wanted this brand to target young adults, who drink somewhat regularly, therefore this drink would be fairly affordable and an on shelf drink. By targeting this age range, attracting people who find the Joker nostalgic, and may have read comics or watched movies about him, which I also considered within the branding process. I wanted my visual language to be bold and contrasting, also vibrant, to catch attention and stand out among existing alcoholic drinks. Enhancing the colours of the Joker's character, bringing green and purple to life in the branding.
